Mary Beth Armstrong, L.Ac.
Mary Beth Armstrong received her Master’s degree from the Pacific College in San Diego in 1993. She is licensed in California and New York. She is also accredited through NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) in acupuncture and herbology Since returning to Sag Harbor in 1994, Mary Beth has been studying with 40th generation Taoist master Jeffrey Yuen with a focus on advanced acupuncture techniques and herbal medicine and the psycho-spiritual aspects of disease. In 2000 she traveled to China to study herbs and acupuncture in hospitals in Bejing, Xian, and Shanghai. As part of her healing journeyd. She also studied Pranic healing, qi gong, tai chi, Bach flowers, and Muscle Activation Technique in 2008 in Colorado. In 2011, completed Byron Katie’s School for the Work.
To further her understanding of biomechanics, in 2016 she completed her 200-hour RYT, yoga teacher training with Lauren Eirk of Fitness Integrated Science in Louisville, KY. In 2018 did a training in Internal Family Systems with its originator Richard Schwartz. Since 2020 has been studying Feldenkrais Technique with Cynthia Allen and Carol Montgomery. Also in 2020 started Facial Counterstrain studies with Brian Tuckey in Frederick, Maryland.
A lifelong learner, Mary Beth brings 3 decades of study and practice to her clients. She enjoys creating a supportive healing relationship and environment for her clients. Her focus is on mental and physical well-being to maintain a healthy long active life. By treating the causes, manifestations of acute and chronic dis-ease through acupuncture, herbs, dietary suggestions, as well as other appropriate supportive techniques at her disposal, well-being is achieved.
